Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss Baku-Yerevan normalization

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu as part of his working visit to Kazakhstan and informed him about the process of normalization with Armenia.

Report informs citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry that during the meeting, the sides discussed issues arising from the existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, as well as the current state of the peace process.

Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the recently expanding high-level relations with Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan.

It was noted that economy, trade, investments, energy security, transport and communications, etc, in addition to bilateral partnership, regional and international platforms, especially cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, promise wide prospects.

Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the preparations for COP29 to be hosted in Azerbaijan this year and noted that COP29 is a new platform for cooperation.

Speaking about the current situation, opportunities and challenges in the post-conflict period, the minister thanked the Kazakh side for its support and activity in advancing the bilateral peace process between Azerbaijan and Against the background of the recent agreement reached between the delimitation commissions, he expressed confidence that today's negotiations will in turn contribute to the process.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
