Over the course of the last month, clubs from all over the world have been strengthening their squads for the rest of the season in a bid to reach their targets for the campaign.
The winter transfer window is traditionally quieter than its summer counterpart but the last four weeks were busy across the continent as players moved to pastures new.
The costliest deal over the last month was the one that saw Juan Cuadrado move from Fiorentina to Chelsea. The Colombian was heavily linked with Barcelona in the summer but a move did not materialize. Luis Enrique's loss turned out to be Jose Mourinho's gain and he moved to Stamford Bridge for just over 33 million euros.
Another Premier League club was behind the next biggest move. Manchester City's strikers have struggled with injuries this term as Wilfried Bony has impressed for Swansea and Manuel Pellegrini signed the Ivorian, who is currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, for €32.3 million.
Next was Andre Schurrle's return to the Bundesliga. Already struggling for game time at Chelsea, the Germany international was pushed further down the pecking order my Cuadrado's arrival and moved to Wolfsburg for €32 million.
The most expensive deal which did not involve a Premier League club came in La Liga, where Valencia parted with €25 million to strengthen with the acquisition of Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez.
