French police detain Russian reporters in Lille

Baku. 15 June. REPORT.AZ/ A group of Russian journalists was detained by French law enforcers in Lille. Some 20 French gendarmes encircled Russian reporters of "Chempionat", "TASS", "Sport-Ekspress" and "Match TV", took away their credentials and checked their documents, Report informs.

The incident took place immediately after the fight between Russian and English fans in Lille on late June 14. 

According to the information, the Russian reporters were merely doing their job, describing ‘attack of English and Welsh fans on Russian supporters’. 

After checking, the French police have released them.
