USD exchange rate fell to a minimum of 15 weeks in Azerbaijan

Baku. 30 March. REPORT.AZ/ USD official exchange rate in Azerbaijan down below the rate fixed on December 21 devaluation (1,55 AZN/USD) for the first time and defined at 1,5421 AZN for tomorrow - March 31.

Report informs, maximum official rate for US-dollar by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) recorded on March 11 at 1,6456 AZN/USD. During 20 days, the CBAR reduced USD exchange rate 0,1035 AZN or by 6,3% from historic high to a minimum of 15 weeks.

Analytical Group of Report News Agency believes that USD exchange rate will slightly decrease depending on positive conjuncture in global financial and raw materials markets. During next 2-3 months, official exchange rate is expected to decrease to 1,40-1,45 AZN/USD and the CBAR to start manat intervention (dollar purchase).
