Maryam Majidova: Low level of youth involvement in SMEs - one of pressing issues

There is a low level of youth involvement in small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan, founder of Gender Hub Azerbaijan, Maryam Majidova, said at a panel discussion within the 4th Sustainable Development Goals Dialogue in Baku, Report informs.

She noted that this issue is one of the most pressing and requires discussion at all levels.

Majidova also noted the problem of early marriages and the restrictions faced by some girls who want to get an education.

“Gender Hub is trying to work with vulnerable young women in the regions, support them in their desire to become entrepreneurs, conduct training, implement acceleration programs so that they can further develop their skills,” she added.
