Houses of Azerbaijanis living in the Darnytskyi district were damaged as a result of the Russian army's attack on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, with Iskander ballistic missiles on the night of December 12–13.

Hagverdi Bayramov of Azerbaijani descent told Report's Eastern European bureau that his and other Azerbaijanis' houses were rendered unusable by the shock wave of the missile explosion.

"We are now homeless. We are trying to return to Azerbaijan," he stressed.

Around 3 o'clock at night, Russia fired rockets at the city from the north-west direction. All targets were destroyed by air defense forces. More destruction was recorded in Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, and Holosiivs'kyi districts of the capital. A fire broke out on the 7th floor of a 9-story building, people were evacuated."

Shamanov said that 17 people, including 7 children, were rescued. Blast waves broke windows in the Dniprovskyi district. Rocket parts fell into private houses.
