Sultan Al Jaber mulls implementation plan for COP29 climate finance

COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber has discussed with Yoshida Nobuhiro, Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry the need for a credible implementation plan for increasing climate finance at the upcoming COP29, Report informs.

“COP28 President Dr. Sultan Al Jaber today met with Yoshida Nobuhiro, Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry. During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Jaber thanked Japan for their continued support for COP28 initiatives and the endorsement of the UAE Consensus. They also discussed the need to focus on a credible and ambitious implementation plan to scale climate finance at COP29 and deliver enhanced NDCs by COP30,” COP28 wrote on X.
