Annual Tax Conference kicks off in Baku

Baku. 18 January. REPORT.AZ/ Today 5th Annual Tax Conference entitled 'Development and compliance in tax system' in the framework of cooperation between American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes started in Baku.

Report informs, conference will consist of two panels. According to conference program, speeches on tax management and its improvement directions in Azerbaijan are planned in the I panel, on tax administration and improvement of communication between taxpayers and tax authorities in the II panel.

Opening the event AmCham President, Ilgar Valiyev provided information about the essence of event.

Head of Tax Policy and Strategic Research Department of Ministry of Taxes Natig Shirinov informed about latest changes in Tax Code: 'Owners of retail service and catering service entities with annual turnover of up to 200 thousand manats will pay 6% and 8% simplified tax accordingly. Persons, who do not comply with transparency in this field will be fined 2 thousand manats for the first time, 4 thousand for the second time and 6 thousand manats for next time.
