Robert Prosinečki commented on rumors regarding new coach contract with Bursaspor

Baku. 9 June. REPORT.AZ/ Robert Prosinečki, manager of the Azerbaijani national football team, has commented on rumors regarding new contract with Turkish FC Bursaspor.

Report informs, the 48-year-old coach told “Sportske Novosti”.

Prosinečki said he contacted Bursaspor officials 3 months ago, however, there is no change on this issue: "I was together with the national team in last 20 days, we held training camps in Baku and Austria. We are training for great and important game with Northern Ireland team on Saturday".

The Croatian expert focused on the World Cup match with Northern Ireland team on June 10: "My contract with the Azerbaijani national team is valid until the end of the 2018 World Cup qualifying round. We have done great job. The team ranked 132nd when I joined it. Now, it is 76th. I'm focused on the upcoming game. Win can take us to the second place".

Notably, competing in World Cup Group C, the Azerbaijani team ranks 4th with 7 points after 5 rounds. If the team coached by Robert Prosinečki loses to the Irish team on June 10, its chance to move forward the group will significantly reduce as the British team ranks 2nd with 10 points.
