Disclosed reason for failure of Azerbaijan's friendly match in Austria

Baku. 1 June. REPORT.AZ/ Reason for not holding friendly match by Azerbaijani national team in Austria unveiled. 

Report informs, Chairman of AFFA's Media and Public Relations Department Mikail Narimanoglu said.

According to him, the goal during the training camp was to play with stronger opponents.

AFFA official said that even though there were talks with companies engaged in the organization of friendly matches there was a changes in plans of potential competitors: "We did not want to play with weaker opponents. As a result, during the preparation process, there was no match."

Notably, Azerbaijani national team left for Austria on May 20. The camp will end on June 2.

Preparation process was for 2018 World Cup qualifying group match against Northern Ireland will be held in Baku, June 10.
