Traders and artisans of the Turkish resorts of Side and Alanya asked the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to revise the standards of the "all inclusive" system in hotels, Report informs citing Gazeta.ru.
It is noted that the Chamber of Commerce of Manavgat sent a letter to the Agency with a request to change the standards "all inclusive" and to identify areas where hotels of this type will not harm other businesses.
Members of the Chamber said that the "all inclusive" system has a negative impact on their business, as tourists do not leave the hotels and do not spend money in local restaurants, shops, and do not travel around the country.
In addition, the Chamber of Commerce believes that the revision of "all inclusive" standards will honestly compete with sellers and hotels for the customers' money.
The letter mentioned that Turkey has set a course for a quality tourist who is able to spend at least $1 thousand per visit.
Earlier it was reported that Russians choose Turkish resorts more often than domestic ones. In 2018, Russian tourists almost twice as often chose to rest in Turkey than at home. Moreover, a third of tourists chose the all-inclusive holiday, and the most popular place of residence were three-star hotels.
