Turkey to begin to consider vaccination rates in tourist entry

If tourists are allowed to enter the country, Turkey will consider the daily increase in new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections and vaccination programs in their countries, Report informs, citing Anadolu.

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said on the BBC that a negative PCR test result would be required when visiting Turkey at least until April 15.

"After April 15, we will take into account the daily increase in cases. If the daily increase drops, a negative PCR test will not be required," Ersoy added.

The minister also stressed the effectiveness of the British vaccination program, which has reduced the daily increase in coronavirus infections.

According to him, more than 11 million people have been immunized in Turkey, and this number will increase to 50-60 million by the end of April: "This will reduce the number of daily cases, and tourists coming to Turkey will feel safer."
