Tourist flow from Azerbaijan up by more than 27%

In January–October 2023, the number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled abroad increased by 27.1% compared to the same period last year and reached 1,545,200 people, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to the Committee, the number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who went to Russia, Georgia, and Türkiye increased by 1.5 times, 31.6%, and 20.7%, respectively, and to Iran decreased by 13.9%.

Some 44.3% of the country's citizens visited Türkiye, 21.3% - the Russian Federation, 9% - Georgia, 7.5% - Iran, and 17.9% - other countries. 65.2% of those were men, and 34.8% were women.

Among the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who visited foreign countries, 68.2% used air transport, 29.3% used railways and cars, and 2.5% used sea transport.
