Tourist flow from Azerbaijan up by 50%

A total of 1,489,500 people travelled abroad from Azerbaijan in 2022, which is 1.5 times or 50% higher than the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the Committee, 44% of the Azerbaijanis who travelled abroad visited Turkiye, 18% visited Russia, 13.6% travelled to Iran, 8.6% to Georgia, and 15.8% opted for other countries. Men accounted for 64.2%, and women for 35.8% of all those who travelled abroad.
Compared to the previous year, the number of Azerbaijanis who travelled to Iran, Georgia, Turkiye, and Russia increased by 3.1 times, 1.7 times, 1.4 times, and 12.9%, respectively.
