Number of Ukrainian tourists in Azerbaijan growing

Nearly 50,000 Ukrainians will visit Azerbaijan until the end of this year, Report informs citing Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky who spoke at a press conference.

"More and more Ukrainians come to see Baku. The embassy will work on tourism sector and promote other cities and places besides Truskavets that could attract Azerbaijani tourists, " the ambassador said.

At the same time, according to him, the increase in tourist flow entails the problem of traffic congestion:

"I think it would be possible to increase the number of flights from both Azerbaijani and Ukrainian carriers," he added.

The diplomat also added that Azerbaijan is in the top 5 countries  whose citizens study in Ukraine.

“This has already become a long-standing tradition. It is very important and pleasant,” Kanevsky noted.
