Number of travelers from Azerbaijan to Georgia grows by 3%

In January-March 2019, 292,900 people travelled from Azerbaijan to Georgia, up 3% in comparison to a year earlier, Report’s Georgian bureau informs citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

In the reporting period, totally 1.6 million foreigners visited Georgia, up 2.2% by contrast to a year ago. 34.8 of travelers were women, 65.2% were men.

The foreigners spent GEL 1.2 billion, down 15.2% in comparison to a year ago. Average expenditures on a trip dropped by 16.1% to GEL 889.7 or $324.
