Number of people visiting from Azerbaijan to Georgia exceeds 1 million this year

From January to August of this year, the number of people visiting from Azerbaijan to Georgia was 1,024,349, Local bureau of Report informs citing the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens visiting the neighboring country rose by 68,292, or 7.1%, compared to the last year.

By this indicator, Azerbaijan ranks second in terms of the number of foreign visitors visiting the neighboring country. Russia took the first place with 1,058,549 tourists, while Armenia ranks third Armenia with 864,474.

In the reporting period, Georgia received 6,320,516 international visitors, which is 7.2% more compared to the last year.
