More than 490,000 Azerbaijani citizens visit Georgia in Q3

Tbilisi. 14 November. REPORT.AZ/ In the third quarter of 2018, 494,500 Azerbaijani citizens visited Georgia, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said Wednesday, Report’s Georgia bureau informs.

In July-September, the first place was held by Russia (582,700 people), the second place by Azerbaijan and the third place by Armenia with 439,800 people.

In the reporting period, non-residents visited Georgia 3.2 million times, of which 2.6 million were paid by foreigners. This figure is 9.2% higher than the previous year.

The number of foreigners was 2.2 million (+10.2%), including 1.6 million tourists.

In July-September, foreigners spent GEL 3.1 billion ($1.2 billion), up 36.5% in comparison to a year earlier.
