Czech Republic plans to open borders

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said from May 15, the country's authorities plan to open borders for tourists from other EU countries, provided that they pass the complete cycle of vaccination against coronavirus with the jabs, accredited in the EU. The country's residents can travel to these countries on the same conditions, Report informs, citing the Czech television.

"From May 15, we can allow residents of other EU countries to enter the Czech Republic for tourist purposes, who will have supporting documents on completing the full cycle of vaccination against coronavirus. They must be vaccinated no later than 14 days before arriving in the republic," Babis noted.

The Czech Republic is in talks with the neighboring countries and Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Greece, and Bulgaria on this topic. According to the Prime Minister, the list of such states is expanding. So far, those arriving in the Czech Republic need to have certificates of negative tests for COVID-19.
