Police in the city of Wuhan in central China have imposed tighter controls on passenger traffic and banned organized groups of tourists from traveling to other regions due to the outbreak and rapid spread of a new type of pneumonia, Report says, citing TASS.
According to the new rules, the emergency mode will operate around the clock. The police started to strengthen checks of vehicles, prohibiting the transport of poultry and pets.
Already last week, airports installed heat detectors, railway stations, and bus terminals in Wuhan, where the virus began spreading. From Sunday, all persons leaving the city for abroad are checked especially carefully. In addition, Wuhan has allocated 800 beds in three hospitals designed to receive those infected with the new coronavirus.
The country is currently seeing 224 cases of a new type of pneumonia.
