Balakhani turns into new tourism center 

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), State Tourism Agency and Baku Landscaping Service LLC will cooperate to change the Balakhani settlement to a tourism center, Report informs, citing the SMBDA. 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev and Director of the Baku Landscaping Service LLC Binnet Ali Gasimov got familiarized with the landscaping works in Balakhani, tourism opportunities of the settlement, held discussions on measures to be taken within the landscaping. 

Within the cooperation, the State Tourism Agency will support the introduction of Balakhani as a new tourism area, its inclusion in the tourism route. The SMBDA will promote the creation of entrepreneurial facilities, especially building business in mastership, service, and trade areas. It will also provide support to the realization of business initiatives in this field. Baku Landscaping Service LLC will expand the landscaping works in the settlement. 

At the same time, cooperation will contribute to the promotion of tourism-oriented entrepreneurship among the Balakhani residents, employment, the introduction of historical monuments of the settlement. 

Balakhani is rich in historic-cultural monuments. There are opportunities to promote entrepreneurship on tourism, particularly carpet-weaving, pottery, production of national costumes, small catering facilities on service, creation of hostels, souvenir on trade, ceramic pots, carpet, musical instruments, candy sales, and others. Nearly 100 small objects on these directions can be built in Balakhani. 

Moreover, a conceptual document is offered to systematically and effectively organize the activity to turn Balakhani to a new tourism place.
