Baku among CIS countries with highest New Year trees

TourStat has compiled a rating of the highest New Year trees in the capital cities of the CIS countries for New Year holidays 2019/2020, Report informs, citing Liter.kz.

Baku ranks fourth with a 34-meter New Year tree on Azneft Square.

Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat has the highest New Year tree among CIS countries - it is 40 meters in height along with the top. The tree was decorated outside the Älem (Universe) cultural and entertainment center and solemnly lit on December 15, 2019.

Moscow ranked seventh with its main 27-meter New Year tree on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin, the only real New Year tree among the CIS capitals.
