Azerbaijan is leader in number of tourists visiting Georgia

Baku. 3 May. REPORT.AZ/ Georgia was mostly visited by Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey in April 2018.

Report informs citing the Sputnik- Georgia, the head of Georgia National Tourism Administration, Giorgi Chogovadze said at a press conference.

In April, 596,700 foreigners traveled to Georgia, and this figure is almost 17% more than last year. 278 thousand (+ 24.9%) of them were tourists.

In April, the highest number of visits was from Azerbaijan (+10.4%), Russia (+43.4%), Turkey (+29.2%), Armenia (-6.9%) and Iran (+ 98.5%).
