Azerbaijan invited the CIS countries to create a platform similar to the Tourism Educational Network.
Report informs that Kanan Guluzada, advisor to the chairman of the State Tourism Agency, voiced the invitation during a roundtable discussion at the International Petersburg Tourist Forum - Travel Hub 2024 held in Russia, Report informs.
Guluzada noted that the initiative by Azerbaijan aims to unite industry specialists and contribute to the preparation of personnel meeting modern requirements in the tourism sector and the educational process.
He provided information about existing visa regimes between Azerbaijan and other countries, the creation of joint tourism routes with regional countries, and personnel training. Guluzada also emphasized the importance of the Eurasian Mountain Resorts Alliance, the Turkic States Ski Resorts Union, Silk Road tourism routes, and Caspian Sea cruise organizations for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The event discussed developing tourism relations between regional countries, creating international routes, security and service quality, and forming a unified tourism space.
