American Airlines will suspend flights from dozens of US cities owing to a novel coronavirus, Report informs, referring to TASS.
According to the airline's website, the company will cut service to 15 small American cities from October 7 because of reduced demand for air travel during the pandemic. These include Del Rio (Texas), Sioux City and Dubuque (Iowa), Florence (South Carolina), Greenville (North Carolina), Huntington (West Virginia), Joplin (Missouri), Kalamazoo (Michigan), Lake Charles (Louisiana), New Haven (Connecticut), New Windsor (New York), Roswell (New Mexico), Springfield (Illinois), Stillwater (Oklahoma) and Williamsport (Pennsylvania).
It is planned to delay air traffic for a month - until November 3. At the same time, its restoration period may be postponed to a later date.
