Baku. 31 December. REPORT.AZ/ Turkish Airlines on Wednesday cancelled more than 140 flights due to bad weather conditions predicted in the Istanbul area, Report informs referring to the Turkish media.

In a statement on its website, the flag carrier said 142 domestic and international flights would be cancelled from Istanbul’s Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports on Wednesday and Thursday due to “potential capacity reduction” caused by heavy snow.

Many of the cancelled flights were domestic but routes to Europe and the Middle East have also been affected.
