Number of Azerbaijani citizens resting in Russia declines

Baku. 6 September. REPORT.AZ/ The Ukrainians have headed the list of tourists resting in Russia in the half of this year.

Report informs citing the Russian media, the “TurStat” analytical agency stated.

The statement reads that 3,9 million Ukrainian citizens visited Russia in 6 months. It is 3% more compared to the same period of last year.

Kazakh citizens are in the second place with the indicator of 1,5 million people. Nevertheless, their number has declined by 4% in the annual comparison.

Instead, the number of Chinese citizens visiting Russia has increased by 21% and reached 552, 000 people. The number of Finnish citizens has fallen by 28% and made 504, 000 people. The number of Azerbaijani citizens has decreased by 9% and made 403, 000 people.

The information also reads that Asian countries head the list on the number of the purchased travel packages. In half a year, 97, 000 tourists from South Korea visited Russia, and it is 43% more compared to a year before. China and Japan take the following places respectively with a 17% increase.
