Azerbaijan may postpone Handball Championship due to coronavirus

The Azerbaijan Men's and Women's Handball Championship may end prematurely.

The reason is that ABU Arena, where the competitions take place, has been closed for a long time due to the coronavirus pandemic, said an official of the Azerbaijan Handball Federation Isgandar Asgarov, Report says.

The final decision will be made after May 4, when the quarantine period will expire.

According to the federation official, if the competition ends early, Azeryol will be declared the women's champion and 'Mahsul,' the men's champion.
