Sahil Babayev: Nearly 41,000 people assigned disabilities

This year, about 190,000 people have completed five years of disability. In this regard, no one's disability benefits have been cut this year. No such decision has been made. Re-assessment of persons receiving 5-year disability benefits established only by law is carried out, said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev.

According to him, more than 40,000 people (2 times more than 2020) with disabilities have received re-disabled status so far:

"This process consisting of two stages is transparent and fully implemented. First of all, the general health condition of a citizen in health care facilities is fully assessed, and based on it, electronic information is sent to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. The State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation, TABIB, health specialists, and, if necessary, representatives of the Ministry of Defense are involved, and the assessment is carried out as a result of relevant visual examinations. To date, about 41,000 of our citizens have been assigned disabilities. More than 2,000 of our veterans wounded during the Patriotic War have also been assigned disabilities. This process continues in a transparent way."
