Number of Azerbaijani population unveiled

The number of Azerbaijani population has been announced.

Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee that the number of the population rose by 33,696 or 0.3% since the beginning of the year and reached 10,152,829 as of December 1, 2021.

According to the Committee, 53% of the population are urban residents, while 47% are rural residents, 49.9% are men, and 50.1% are women. The population density per square kilometre was 117 people.
