Number of Azerbaijani population announced

As of July 1, 2019, the number of Azerbaijani population stood at 10,019,575 people, up 38,118 people since the beginning of this year, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

The population density is 116 people per square kilometer.

Urban residents constitute 52.8 % of the population, rural residents constitute 47.2%, while men and women make up 49.9% and 50.1% respectively.
