Ministry: Military men and martyr families wounded in April wars are covered with state care

Wounded soldiers and officers, the families of our heroes, who were killed in April battles in 2016 are fully covered with state care, Report informs citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

It was noted that in line with the order of the Head of State, important social protection measures were implemented on the families of martyrs and soldiers who were disabled during those battles. They have been granted respective social benefits inscribed in the legislation monthly stipends of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, allowances or labor pensions, as well as pensions to the children and families of the martyrs who are not entitled to receive a pension. Lumps sum allowances have been paid to the martyr families and the amount of monthly stipend of the President has been increased on a regular basis. This pension was increased to AZN 300 on February 1, 2019, as the next important step taken in this field. Moreover, benefits and pensions for the persons who were disabled due to their military service duties, including April battles have also been increased to 100 per cent from April 1, this year.

According to the instruction of First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, another group of Karabakh war veterans (nearly 30 servicemen ) was provided with prosthesis in February. Each of them was provided with high technology products with respect to the individual characteristics, activity rates and lifestyles. Those Karabakh veterans, who were provided with rehabilitative means, return to their normal lifestyle and continue their working activity, some of them continue their military service go in for Paralympic sport.

Necessary work is being done to ensure care in other fields for the families of April martyrs and war veterans.
