Mayor's office: Old building in Baku was in a state of emergency , residents resettled

According to the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and in accordance with the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, work is underway on resettlement of residents of houses that are in a state of emergency and are not subject to restoration or major repairs in Baku, Spokesperson of Baku Executive Power Israfil Karimov told Report. According to him, during the work carried out by the relevant structures, 17 such houses were identified. The process of resettlement of residents of emergency houses has begun: "One of these buildings is a three-storey, 43-apartment house at Yasamal district, Mirza Agha Aliyev street, 150. It was built in 1889 and has not been repaired for a long time. In 1989, this house was recognized in  a bad need of repair and its residents were resettled

23 families were resettled, however this process never completed and the vacant apartments were occupied by internally displaced persons. In 2011, 2017 the building was even more dilapidated, the staff of the State Design Institute and the Ministry of Emergency Situations inspected the house and confirmed the earlier decision on the emergency condition of the building. In order to ensure the safety of the residents, it was decided to immediately relocate the residents, an act was drawn up to enclose the building with a fence and restrict the entry to the yard of the house." 

According to Kerimov, head of Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov and head of Executive power of Yasamal district Aziz Azizov met with residents of the houses.
