Labor safety awareness a key priority in liberated territories

One of the main priorities is holding awareness-raising activities in the field of occupational safety, Adil Rahimli, head of a department at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), told Report's correspondent dispatched to Khojaly.

According to him, special attention should be paid to organizing occupational safety at new enterprises being established in the liberated territories:

"It is very encouraging that new jobs are being created in these areas. At the same time, ensuring healthy and safe working conditions requires special attention. The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation has introduced the IOSH safety management module of specialized UK institutions in the field of occupational safety as part of efforts to improve occupational safety.

"Courses based on this module are organized at the Confederation's Academy of Labour and Social Relations. Citizens who wish to specialize in this field can take advantage of this opportunity and obtain an international certificate."
