Azerbaijan records 19,224 marriages and 9,776 divorces

A total of 19,224 marriages and 9,776 divorces were registered in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2026, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Compared with the same period of 2025, the number of marriages per 1,000 people decreased from 4.9 to 3.8, while the divorce rate fell from 2.0 to 1.9.

The marriage rate was higher than the national average of 3.8 in the East Zangazur (4.8), Karabakh (4.6), Baku, Mountainous Shirvan and Gazakh-Tovuz (4.0), and Lankaran-Astara (3.9) economic regions.
