Average monthly pensions in Azerbaijan increase 9.4 times in 1Q22

From January through March 2022, the average monthly amount of pensions increased by 9.4 percent to 363 manats as of April 1. The average monthly old-age pensions increased by 9.1 percent to 394 manats, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population told Report.
The ministry noted that, in general, the consistent social reform packages implemented have led to a significant increase in pensions.
The minimum pension has increased 2.2 times over the past three years. Also, since 2018, there has been a 75 percent increase in the average monthly pension, including a 70 percent increase in the average monthly pension for old age.
