130,000 people planned to be placed in jobs in Azerbaijan next year

"Talks with the World Bank have entered the stage of finalization. By the end of the year the government will be presented the draft loan agreement. Next year the World Bank's board will consider its approval," Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev said as he spoke at the economic session president by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on October 15.

"Taking into account the World Bank's procedures, we will enter the stage of getting real assets by the end of the year. Therefore, we estimate the World Bank's share next year at 1000-2000 families. But in the next years 5,000 families will be stably financed by the World Bank. All the same, the structure of these expenses envisages organization of different events of active employment on employment projects. While this year our plan envisaged employment of 100,000 people, next year the figure will be brought to 130,000," the minister saud.

According to Babayev, continuation of the paid public works program is also envisaged: “The program of temporary public works in large state-owned companies will also be continued. Along with the World Bank, it is envisaged to continue work under the self-employment programs and the UN Development Program. Another 500 people will be financed through the UN Development Program. "
