Eurovision organizers ban Russia from music contest

Russia will not be able to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest this year, Report informs citing RIA Novosti that the organizers of the competition took this decision.

Yesterday, the national television and radio company of Ukraine appealed to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which hosts the annual Eurovision music contest, with a request to ban Russia's participation in the contest.

This year the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Turin, Italy.
