Eurovision 2022 may take place in Turin

After the victory of the Italian group Maneskin at Eurovision, the authorities of Turin expressed their desire to hold the competition next year, Turin mayor Chiara Appendino tweeted, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
“Awaiting the announcement, we are starting work on the candidacy of Turin from today,” the mayor wrote.
Director of Rai, the national public broadcasting company of Italy, Stefano Coletta, in anticipation of the final of the competition, said that the possibility of holding Eurovision in Turin was discussed in 2017, when the singer Francesco Gabbani was considered the favorite in the music competition.
"We then had a couple of meetings, the best option was Turin," Coletta said at a press conference.
