Disney has announced that it has temporarily shut down its stores and hotels in North America as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic, Report informs, citing the company's Twitter account.
"In line with state and federal guidance, in an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and cast members, we are proceeding with the closure of all Disney stores in North America, beginning March 17," the statement said. The company also decided to close all of its hotels at 5:00 p.m. on March 20.
The company previously reported that Disneyland amusement parks in Florida and Disneyland on the outskirts of Paris had been closed due to a coronavirus threat.
