Zakharova: Russia's new special envoy plans to visit Baku

"Among the main tasks of the new special representative of Russia to promote the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Igor Khovayev, is to assist the Azerbaijani and Armenian partners in the preparation of a peace agreement.

The special representative has already actively joined the work, held consultations in Yerevan, and his trip to Baku in the near future is agreed,” the Russian Bureau of Report informs, quoting Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a weekly briefing.

"The foundations of the dialogue are the basic principles proposed by Azerbaijan for establishing interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Yerevan's constructive reaction to these proposals as a whole," Zakharova said.
