Victory Day solemnly marked in Istanbul

Today is the Victory Day in Turkey, Report's local bureau informs.
A solemn event was organized on Vatan Avenue in Istanbul on the occasion of the Victory Day.
The event was organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the city governor's office and addressed by Mayor Akram Imamoglu, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerligaya, army generals, and public figures. They spoke about the great importance of the holiday for Turkey and the entire Turkic world.
Various armed units of the Turkish military marched in front of the rostrum.
The holiday event is watched with great interest by residents and will continue throughout the day.
