It has been repeatedly stated at various levels - both at the presidential and parliamentary levels - that negotiations regarding Ukraine cannot be conducted without Ukraine's participation, Fedir Venislavsky, Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, told Report.
"We do not expect an agreement between Trump and Putin regarding Ukraine's fate. This is about existing international norms. These norms guarantee Ukraine's territorial integrity, independence, and sovereignty. This is the UN status. Although we see that Russia ignores all international legal norms. The security guarantee given in the Budapest Memorandum has been violated. I believe that Ukraine will not allow anyone to violate its interests," the committee chairman stated.
