US envoy summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry

US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the White House announced that the US had imposed new sanctions against Russia.

"I would also like to say that the US ambassador has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. We will share with you additional information on the results of this conversation, which will be hard for the American side," Zakharova said during the briefing.
