US Embassy in Ukraine resumes its activities

The US Embassy returned to Lviv to continue its work in Ukraine, US Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien said, Report informs via TASS.

"We are happy to be back. We will continue to do everything possible here to help the Ukrainians," she said at a press conference in Lviv.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi discussed building a large rehabilitation center with the US diplomat.

According to him, the center is critically needed for seriously wounded Ukrainians.

On April 26, State Department spokesman Ned Price said that employees of the American diplomatic mission in Ukraine visited Lviv. He did not specify whether this meant the return of diplomats to work permanently in this city. Price added that the United States intends to restore its diplomatic presence in Ukraine and is constantly assessing the security situation.
