US Consul General leaves Yekaterinburg

US Consul General in Yekaterinburg Amy Storrow has left the city in the Urals region of Russia, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the US State Department said that the Consulate General in Yekaterinburg no longer provided visas and served US citizens.
The Consulate General wrote on its Facebook page that the Consulate General in Yekaterinburg had united the Urals and Western Siberia with the United States for 27 years by issuing visas and serving US citizens, educating English, conducting seminars for entrepreneurs, and exchanging programs.
She said she was pleased to meet with residents of Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Verkhny Salda, and Nizhny Tagil during her tenure.
