UN: Over 3.7M people fled Ukraine

Since the beginning of hostilities, 3,725,806 refugees have crossed the Ukrainian border with neighboring countries, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said citing data from various sources on the situation around the migration crisis in Ukraine, Report informs.

According to the UNHCR, more than half of Ukrainian citizens who have left the country since February 24 are in Poland.

Thus, 2,206,119 refugees crossed the borders of Poland, 572,754 of Romania, 376,748 of Moldova, 336,701 of Hungary, 271,254 of Russia, 263,959 of Slovakia, and 6,341 of Belarus.

In addition to these figures, UNHCR reported that between February 18 and February 23, some 113,000 people fled to Russia from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
