Ukraine's membership in NATO is the only way to end the conflict in the Donbas, President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
Report informs, citing UNIAN, that according to the head of state, Ukraine is moving towards NATO membership:
"This is the only way to end the war in the Donbas. We are carrying out reforms in our army and defense sector. Russia cannot be prevented only by reforms. The membership action plan will be an actual signal for Russia," Zelensky said.
Stoltenberg noted that NATO supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
