Ukrainian MoD: Russia turning civilian facilities in occupied territories into prisons

The Russian army is turning civil infrastructure facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into prisons, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar wrote in a telegram, Report informs.

According to her, the goal is to strengthen repressive measures against the local population.

Maliar said such steps are being taken especially in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
