Ukraine’s coronavirus cases hit 1,462

Ukraine had 1,462 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 09:00 on April 7, reporting 143 new cases over the past 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

So far, 45 died from the illness in the country, while 28 others survived.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 209 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 1,348,000 globally, resulting in 74,000 deaths and 286,512 recoveries

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
